Seward has always been a favorite fishing getaway for owner Kamell (pictured to the left with his son Kamell). From Anchorage, it’s a scenic 125-mile drive on the Seward Highway to Resurrection Bay and our town of Seward. The Seward Highway is consistently rated one of Americas’ most scenic drives, threading through narrow inlet waters and steep mountains. Sandwiched between Resurrection Bay and the Kenai Mountains, Seward is one of Alaska’s oldest and most scenic communities. It has a busy harbor, producing an abundant supply of sport caught fish, quaint shops and galleries.
On July 4, 25,000 people turn out to watch runners summit Mt. Marathon near town. In August the town hosts the Silver Salmon Derby, the state’s largest and a good time for great dining.
